Child Care And Early Learning Programs

Early Achievers is a program to improve the quality of early care and learning in Washington. The website has printable brochures with information parents need to know like what Early Achievers is and how to find a child care program that is participating. Brochures are also in Español.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a FREE, monthly book program for children living in Lewis County who are birth to five years old. High-quality, age appropriate books are mailed monthly to children 0-5 at no cost. CLICK HERE to sign up! Program sponsored by United Way of Lewis County and the Lewis County Rotary Foundation.

Child Care Action Council’s website helps you figure out what kind of care you’relooking for. Then, their Child Care Referral Specialists can refer you to child care that meets your specific needs.

Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP)  offers free low-income preschool. This is a state-funded, comprehensive “whole child” program for 3 and 4-year-olds.

Lewis County Head Start offers free low-income preschool. Centers are offered in Salkum, Toledo, Chehalis and 2 centers in Centralia. Children ages 3-5 are served by this program.

Fiddlesticks Cooperative Preschool, located in Centralia, is a partnership with Centralia College’s Family Development program. The center is low cost, parent driven and family focused.

Mossyrock Cooperative Preschool  – For information, call the preschool at (360) 983-3184. The preschool is located in Mossyrock at 445 Williams Street.
